Fried Butter Popcorn with Mediterranean Herbs

pieces Corn, yellow, fresh

1 teaspoon Tomato, concentrate

pieces Soy sauce, shoyu

Steps

Melt the butter in a pot or wok. Add the corn kernels and cover the pot. Wait for the kernels to pop, then transfer the popcorn to a bowl.

Grind the herbs in a mortar and mix them with salt, pepper, a bit of oil, a tablespoon of tomato concentrate, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Grind everything well, then add the mixture to the eggs and mix thoroughly with a whisk.

Prepare a bowl with flour and a bowl with breadcrumbs. Pour oil into a pot or wok, in which you will fry the popcorn, and heat it over medium heat.

Coat the popcorn. First, dip them in the flour, then in the egg-herb mixture, and finally roll them in the breadcrumbs. Add them to the heated oil and fry for about 5 minutes or until golden brown.

Remove the fried popcorn from the oil with a slotted spoon and drain them on paper towels. Serve while still warm.
