Ingredients
-
800 g Fish, shrimp
-
3 pieces Egg, egg white, fresh
-
140 g Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose
-
3 spoons Koruzna moka, whole grain, yellow
-
1 spoon Koruzni škrob
-
1 spoon Spices, paprika
-
1 teaspoon Salt, table
-
0.5 teaspoons Spices, pepper, black
-
pieces Oil, vegetable oil, canola
Steps
-
Peel the shrimp tails if necessary (remove the main vein) and rinse under running water. Thoroughly dry them with paper towels.
-
Lightly season the dried shrimp tails with pepper and salt. In a larger container that can be sealed, mix all the dry ingredients (wheat flour, cornmeal, starch, ground paprika, remaining salt, and pepper). In a bowl, beat the egg whites well with a whisk.
-
First, dip the seasoned shrimp tails in the egg whites, then add them to the container with the dry ingredients. Seal the container tightly and shake well so that the dry ingredients coat all the shrimp tails. Store the container with the shrimp in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.
-
Heat the oil well in a deep pan (skillet) in which you will fry the shrimp tails. Fry the shrimp in the hot oil until golden brown, which takes about 2 minutes. Remove them from the pan with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Do not fry all the shrimp at once; instead, fry them in several batches.
-
Serve the fried shrimp on a plate and offer them with your chosen sauce.

Advice
Fry in a large amount of fat; the food should float in it. For frying, use fats that do not contain water, such as coconut oil or good quality oil. The fat is hot enough when small bubbles form around a wooden spoon handle.
