Fried Squid with Breadcrumbs
Squid can be fried in various ways. This time, we present a version where the sliced squid is coated with breadcrumbs before frying. It is important that the oil in which the squid is fried is well heated.

Ingredients

500 g Fish, squid

1 teaspoon Spices, chili powder

0.5 teaspoons Salt, table

2 teaspoons Koruzni škrob

170 g Breadcrumbs, dried

Steps

Thoroughly wash the squid under running water and drain well. Cut the bodies into rings about 1 cm wide. Dry the tentacles and rings well with paper towels, then place them in a bowl. Season with chili powder and salt. Mix well and let stand for 10 minutes.

After ten minutes, coat the squid with cornstarch and mix well. Finally, sprinkle breadcrumbs over the squid and mix everything together once more.

Place a deep pan on the stove and heat the oil well. Carefully place the squid into the hot oil. Fry for 3 to 4 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Remove the fried squid with a slotted spoon and drain on a plate lined with paper towels.

Arrange the squid on plates and serve with a side of your choice. You can also add lemon wedges on the side.

Advice
Fry in a large amount of fat. The food should float in it. For frying, use fats that do not contain water, such as coconut oil or good quality oil. The frying fat is sufficiently heated when small bubbles form around a wooden spoon handle.
