Fried Turkey Strips with Carrots and Peas
Children really enjoy fried chicken or turkey strips. Usually, we coat them in breadcrumbs, but with the addition of oatmeal, they are simply excellent. Together with a rich vegetable side dish, they make a hearty, tasty, and very nutritious meal.

2.5 dl Soup base, chicken, cube

Steps

Peel, wash, and slice the carrots. Peel the shallot, finely chop it, and sauté it in olive oil. Add the sliced carrots, mix well, and pour in the vegetable stock. Cook over moderate heat for about 5 minutes, then add the peas. Season the vegetables with salt and pepper to taste.

While the vegetables are cooking, prepare the turkey strips. Season the strips with salt and pepper, then coat them in flour, egg, and oatmeal. Heat a sufficient amount of oil in a suitable pan. Fry the coated strips in the hot oil until golden brown.

Remove the fried strips from the oil and drain them on a paper towel. Place the vegetables on warm plates first, then add the fried turkey strips. Serve the prepared dish.
