Ingredients
-
475 g Flour, Wheat, bread flour
-
0.5 teaspoons Sugar, white
-
1 teaspoon Salt, table
-
6 twig Spices, mayonnaise, dried
-
1.5 teaspoons Yeast, dry
-
2 spoons Oil, olive
-
275 ml Water
-
2 pod Garlic, fresh
-
1 spoon Oil, olive
-
2 spoons Butter, unsalted
Steps
-
Prepare a large bowl, add the flour, and salt the edges. Make a well in the center of the flour, add the yeast and sugar. Also add the oil and honey, and mix in enough lukewarm water to form a soft dough. Knead it until you get a smooth and elastic dough.
-
Return the dough to the bowl, cover it with oiled plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm, draft-free place for about an hour. Then, knead the dough again on a floured surface, divide it into 3 equal parts, and roll each piece into a loaf about 30 cm long.
-
Prepare a shallow baking dish, grease it well, and place the prepared loaves in it. Make deep cuts at regular intervals on each loaf with a sharp knife. Cover them again with oiled plastic wrap and let them rise in a warm place for another 30 minutes.
-
Meanwhile, thoroughly wash and dry the fresh marjoram and chop it finely. Cut the softened butter into pieces, peel the garlic, and press it through a garlic press. Mix all three ingredients thoroughly in a bowl.
-
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Lightly dust the loaves with flour, then place the baking dish in the oven for 15 minutes. A minute before the end of baking, take the baguettes out of the oven and brush the cuts with the prepared herb butter. Then return them to the oven for 1-2 minutes to let the butter melt completely.
-
Remove the baking dish with the loaves from the oven, separate them from the base with a palette knife, and transfer them to a wire rack to cool. Serve the prepared loaves with a suitable side dish.
