Steps

Place unpeeled garlic cloves in a small pot, add spices (bay leaf, coriander seeds, and peppercorns) and salt, and pour everything with oil. Cook everything on a very low heat for 45 minutes. Stir occasionally. Remove the pot from the heat and wait for the contents to cool.

Peel the cooled garlic cloves and place them in a sterilized jar for storage. Pour them with the cooled oil and spices. Make sure the garlic cloves are completely covered with oil. If there is not enough oil, add more. Close the jar tightly and store it in a dark and cool place.

You can also place unpeeled garlic cloves in the jar. Garlic prepared this way will keep for about three months. Use regular glass jars with a screw-on lid. Remember that when storing hot items in jars, it is sufficient to wash them thoroughly beforehand. In all other cases, the jars must be sterilized first. To do this, place the washed jars in a larger pot with boiling water. Cover the pot and let the water boil for about 5 minutes. Then remove the pot from the stove and leave the jars in the hot water until use.
