Ingredients
-
pieces Butter, unsalted
-
250 g Butter, unsalted
-
120 g Sugar, white
-
1 bag Sugar, white
-
3 pieces Egg, fresh
-
200 g Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose
-
1 teaspoon Baking powder
-
50 ml Milk, whole milk
-
5 pieces Apples, rose
Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Grease a large round cake pan (28 cm in diameter) with butter. In a bowl, combine the flour and baking powder. Wash and dry the apples.
-
In another bowl, use an electric mixer to blend the butter and sugar. Mix on high speed for 4 to 5 minutes until the mixture becomes slightly creamy. Gradually add the eggs one by one (mixing each for about half a minute). Then sift the flour and baking powder into the mixture and mix well into the batter. Finally, pour in the milk and mix everything together thoroughly.
-
Pour the prepared batter into the pan. Use a spoon or spatula to spread it evenly and smooth the top. Peel the apples and cut them in half. Remove the stems and cores. Place the halves cut side down on a board. Using a sharp and thin knife, slice them thinly, making sure they stay together. Arrange the sliced apple halves on top of the batter.
-
Bake the cake in the preheated oven for 40 to 50 minutes, or until the apples soften, the batter rises, and the top turns golden brown.
