Gluten-Free Apple and Dried Fig Cake
A simple autumn dessert where wheat flour is replaced with almond flour. Almonds are rich in iron and potassium, good for digestion, and of course, gluten-free.

225 g Butter, unsalted

100 g Sugar, brown

1 teaspoon Vanilla, extract, natural

4 pieces Egg, fresh

4 spoon Milk, whole milk

225 g Nuts, almonds

2 teaspoons Baking powder

3 teaspoons Spices, cinnamon, ground

500 g Apples, rose

200 g Figs, dry
Steps

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Grease a deep baking dish, size 30 x 20 centimeters, with butter.

In a bowl, place butter, sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix well with an electric mixer, then alternately add one egg and a tablespoon of flour, mixing well each time. Stir in the milk.

Mix the remaining flour, baking powder, and cinnamon, and fold them into the butter mixture with a spatula.

Peel the apples and cut them into cubes. Cut the figs into cubes as well. Mix both into the butter mixture, then spread evenly in the baking dish. Sprinkle almond flakes on top and bake the cake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes.
