Grape and Wine Cake
The cake beautifully combines the flavors of fresh grapes and wine. We recommend serving it with a glass of good wine or a cup of warm grape punch.

Ingredients
-
180 g Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose
-
1 teaspoon Baking powder
-
0.25 teaspoons Baking powder
-
0.5 teaspoons Salt, table
-
170 g Sugar, white
-
1 teaspoon Lemon zest, fresh
-
1 teaspoon Orange, shell
-
8 spoon Butter, unsalted
-
3 spoons Oil, olive
-
2 piece Egg, fresh
-
200 ml Alcohol, Dessert wine
-
270 g Grapes, red and yellow, fresh
-
2 spoons Sugar, white
-
1 spoon Oil, olive
Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Grease a round cake pan with a diameter of 26 cm well with oil. Optionally, line the bottom of the cake pan with baking paper and then grease it with oil. Wash the grapes and cut them in half. Remove the seeds with the tip of a knife.
-
Sift the flour into a bowl and mix it with baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In another bowl, add sugar, lemon zest, orange zest, 6 tablespoons of butter, and olive oil. Mix everything well with an electric mixer. Gradually, one by one, add the eggs and mix until you get a light and frothy mixture. Add 1/3 of the flour and wine and mix well until the mixture becomes smooth. Then gradually mix in the remaining 2/3 of the flour and wine. Each time you add flour and wine, mix the batter well. Finally, gently fold in the grapes.
-
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and gently shake it to evenly distribute the batter in the pan. Place the pan in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes.
-
After 20 minutes, remove the pan from the oven and spread 2 tablespoons of butter over the top of the cake and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of sugar. Bake the cake in the preheated oven for another 20 minutes.
-
When the cake turns golden brown on top, remove it from the oven and let it cool in the pan. Once cooled, remove the cake from the pan and cut it into pieces of desired size. Serve the pieces on plates and enjoy.

Advice
It is best to use organic lemons and oranges, whose peel is not treated with pesticides. If organic citrus fruits are not available, immerse them in boiling water for a few minutes and wipe them well to remove the wax containing toxins.
