Ingredients
-
4 pieces Apple, fresh
-
60 g Butter, unsalted
-
1 spoon Juice, lemon
-
100 g Sugar, brown
-
1 teaspoon Spices, cinnamon, ground
-
1 handful Nuts, hazelnuts
-
500 g Yogurt, plain, from whole milk
-
pieces Honey
-
pieces Lemon zest, fresh
Steps
-
First, prepare the caramelized apples. Wash the apples, peel them, and remove the stems and cores. Cut them into small cubes.
-
In a large pan, melt the butter. Add the apples and lemon juice, and cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes, stirring frequently, until the apples soften slightly.
-
Stir in the brown sugar and cinnamon. Cook until the sugar is completely dissolved and a smooth caramel sauce forms. At the end, optionally add coarsely chopped nuts.
-
Remove the apples from the heat and let them cool completely before assembling the dessert. You can also prepare them in advance and store them in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
-
Gently whisk the Greek yogurt with a hand whisk. Optionally, mix in a little honey, maple syrup, and/or grated lemon zest. Prepare the glasses for the dessert and first add two tablespoons of caramelized apples to each glass. Follow with a layer of Greek yogurt, almost filling the glasses. Top the yogurt with about a tablespoon of caramelized apples.
-
The prepared dessert can be served immediately or stored in the refrigerator until serving.
