Ingredients
-
2 piece Nectarine, fresh
-
60 ml Juice, orange
-
50 g Sugar, brown
-
0.5 teaspoons Spices, cinnamon, ground
-
200 g Ice cream, vanilla
-
1 teaspoon Oil, vegetable oil, canola
Steps
-
In a small pot, mix orange juice, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Place the pot on the stove and cook over low heat for 6 to 10 minutes, allowing the liquid to thicken slightly. Once the mixture resembles a liquid syrup, remove the pot from the heat.
-
Wash the nectarines under running water and cut them in half. Remove the pits. Generously brush the cut side of the nectarines with the orange syrup (using a brush).
-
Preheat the grill and lightly grease the grate to prevent the nectarines from sticking during grilling. Place the nectarines on the preheated grill with the cut side facing down. Grill the nectarines for about 7 minutes until they are nicely caramelized and slightly softened. Brush them with the orange syrup several times during grilling.
-
Serve the grilled nectarines on plates and offer them with vanilla ice cream.

Advice
If we have any leftover orange syrup, we can pour it over the grilled nectarines. Nectarines can also be grilled on a well-heated grill pan. Instead of nectarines, we can also use peaches or apricots.
