Ingredients
-
450 g Fish, pollen, fresh
-
2 piece Potatoes, white
-
10 twig Parsley, fresh
-
2 pod Garlic, fresh
-
2 spoons Cheese, Parmesan, grated
-
2 piece Egg, fresh
-
115 g Breadcrumbs, dried
-
0.5 teaspoons Salt, table
-
0.25 teaspoons Spices, pepper, white
-
pieces Oil, vegetable oil, canola
Steps
-
Peel the potatoes, wash them, and cut them into smaller pieces. Place them in a small pot, cover with cold water (the water should be about two fingers above the potatoes), and lightly salt. Place the pot on the stove and wait for the liquid to boil. Reduce the temperature and cook the potatoes for another 10 to 15 minutes or until they soften.
-
While the potatoes are cooking, place a deep pan on the stove and add the fish fillets. Pour in water (enough to cover the fillets), lightly season with salt and pepper, and wait for the liquid to boil. Then reduce the heat, cover the pan, and let it simmer gently for 10 minutes.
-
Rinse the parsley under running water and dry it well. Peel the garlic cloves and finely chop them together with the parsley. Remove the fish fillets from the pan and shred them into smaller pieces with a fork. Make sure to remove any bones. Drain the cooked potatoes and mash them.
-
In a large bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, shredded fish, parsley, garlic, grated Parmesan, eggs, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper. Mix all the ingredients well with your hands. If the mixture doesn't hold together, add another egg; if it's too wet, add a few more breadcrumbs. With wet hands, shape the mixture into small meatballs.
-
Place a pan on the stove and heat it. Pour oil into the heated pan and wait for it to heat up. Then place the fish meatballs on the hot oil. Cook over medium heat. When the meatballs are golden brown on the bottom, flip them with a spatula and cook the other side. Transfer the cooked meatballs to a plate lined with paper towels. Wait a few minutes for the paper towels to absorb the excess oil.
-
Serve the meatballs on plates and offer them with a side dish of your choice.
