15 dag Ham, pressed
-
100 g Cheese, edamame

1 piece Egg, fresh
Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Grate the cheese finely. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured work surface into a 0.5 cm thick rectangle. Cut the dough into two parts. Then cut each part into four triangles with two very high sides.
-
Place one slice of ham and one tablespoon of grated cheese on each triangle. Make a small cut on the short side of the triangle, then roll the triangle into a croissant. Roll it very gently.
-
Line the baking tray with parchment paper and arrange the prepared croissants on it. Crack an egg into a bowl and whisk it well. Brush the croissants with the egg. Place the baking tray in the oven and bake the croissants for about 15 minutes, until they are golden brown.

Advice
There is no need to grease the baking tray additionally, as there is already enough fat in the dough. The easiest way to thaw puff pastry is to leave it wrapped in the refrigerator overnight. If that is not possible, place the sheets of puff pastry on a plate side by side and let them thaw at room temperature for 30–60 minutes. If the croissants are frozen, the baking time will be slightly longer. Place the frozen croissants on the baking tray and bake them at 100 degrees Celsius for about 15 to 20 minutes.
