Ham and Cheese Toast with Sprouts
Ham and cheese toast is a classic. It is usually enriched with the addition of vegetables such as lettuce, tomato, and bell pepper. In the winter, it can be enhanced with the addition of healthy sprouts, which also provide freshness.

4 slice Bread, whole grain

1 handful Alfalfa sprouts

Layer two slices of toast with slices of cheese and ham. Since we will open the warm sandwich before serving and add fresh sprouts, it is better to place the ham slices on top. Cover the layered slices with the remaining slices of toast and heat the prepared sandwiches in a toaster for 3 minutes.

Once the toast is nicely browned on top, remove the sandwiches from the toaster and place them on a plate. Lift the top slice of toast and add the sprouts. Cut the toast diagonally into two pieces and serve immediately.
