Holiday Dessert with Sparkling Wine (No Baking)

Ingredients

4 pieces Egg, egg yolk, fresh

50 g Sugar, white

2 dl Alcohol, Dessert wine

3 pieces Gelatin powder, unsweetened

3 dl Sweet cream

70 g Powdered sugar

In a saucepan, mix the egg yolks and sugar. Add the sparkling wine and heat over medium-high heat while stirring. The mixture should thicken but not boil. This process will take about 7 minutes.

Soak the gelatin sheets in cold water for 5 minutes beforehand.

Once the sparkling wine mixture thickens, remove the saucepan from the heat and mix in the squeezed gelatin sheets. Pour the mixture into a bowl and let it cool. You can speed up the process by placing the bowl in cold water.

Meanwhile, pour the cream into another bowl and whip it. When it starts to thicken, add the powdered sugar and continue whipping until fully whipped.

Gently fold the whipped cream into the sparkling wine mixture, then divide it into glasses and refrigerate for at least 3 hours. Serve decorated with your choice of festive toppings.
