Ingredients
Bajadera (chocolate-nut dessert)
-
300 g Sugar, white
-
9 spoon Water
-
220 g Butter, unsalted
-
200 g Breadcrumbs, dried
-
200 g Nuts, almonds
-
50 g chocolate, dark
chocolate glaze
-
1 dl Sweet cream
-
100 g chocolate, dark
-
1 teaspoon Butter, unsalted
Steps
-
In a larger pot, add sugar and water and slowly heat over moderate heat until the sugar syrup boils. Add butter and stir until the butter is completely melted. Remove the pot from the heat and mix in the ground cookies.
-
Divide the cookie mixture into two parts. Add ground almonds to the first part, and add chocolate to the second part. This way, you will get two mixtures; a light one and a dark one.
-
Prepare a smaller baking dish and first place the dark mixture in it. Spread the mixture evenly across the dish and smooth it out to create a flat layer. Cover it with the second (light) mixture, which you also smooth out nicely. Store the dish in the refrigerator and proceed to prepare the chocolate glaze.
-
Pour cream into a smaller pot and slowly heat it until it is hot, but it must not boil! Add chocolate to the hot cream and stir over low heat until the chocolate is completely melted and a smooth chocolate mixture is formed. Remove the pot from the heat and add butter to the mixture. Continue stirring until the butter is melted and the glaze cools slightly.
-
Evenly pour the chocolate glaze over the light mixture in the baking dish. Then store the dish in the refrigerator overnight to allow the dessert to cool and set properly.
-
Cut the dessert into pieces of any size, serve them on a plate or platter, and enjoy.
