Ingredients
-
450 g Meat, lamb, fillet
-
350 g Bread, wheat
-
2 spoons Spices, paprika
-
2 teaspoons Juice, lemon
-
2 spoons Oil, olive
-
2 piece Tomato, red
-
1 piece Onion, raw
-
1 cup Fish sauce
Steps
-
Peel the onion, wash it, and slice it into thin rings. Wash the tomatoes, remove the green parts, and slice them into rings, then cut them in half. Wash the meat thoroughly under running water and dry it with a paper towel. Then slice it into thin cutlets, which are then cut into bite-sized pieces. Season the meat pieces well with the gyros spice mix and drizzle with lemon juice.
-
Place a pan on the stove and heat it well. Add oil, wait a few seconds for it to heat up, and then add the meat to the pan. Cook it over moderate heat for 5 to 7 minutes. Stir the meat several times during cooking to ensure it cooks evenly. Once cooked, remove the meat to a plate and cover it to keep it warm.
-
Warm the pita bread in a pan or oven before serving. Place a few tomato slices on the pita bread, arrange the meat in the center, and top with some onion rings. Fold the pita bread and drizzle some tzatziki sauce over the meat. Serve with fries as a side or add them to the pita bread.
