Ingredients
-
260 g Nuts, hazelnuts
-
45 g Cocoa, powdered, unsweetened
-
120 g Powdered sugar
-
2 pinch Salt, table
-
4 spoon Oil, plant, almond
Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Spread the hazelnuts in a single layer on a low baking tray. Place the tray with the hazelnuts in the preheated oven for 10 minutes.
-
Transfer the roasted hazelnuts to one half of a clean kitchen towel. Cover them with the other half of the towel and gently roll them with your hands until all the brown skins are removed from the hazelnuts.
-
Place the peeled hazelnuts in a food processor and grind until a completely smooth hazelnut mixture forms (similar to hazelnut butter). Then add cocoa powder, powdered sugar, salt, and oil. Mix everything together for about 1 more minute until all the ingredients are well combined. If the mixture is too thick, add a little more oil.
-
Transfer the hazelnut spread to a small bowl and serve it on the table.

Advice
Instead of hazelnut oil, you can also use another mild vegetable oil, such as rapeseed oil. If desired, add 0.5 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the spread. The hazelnut spread can be stored in a jar for preservation.
