Homemade Vanilla Pudding
To enhance the flavor and aroma, its best to prepare the pudding with real vanilla beans. If you dont have them, vanilla sugar or a few drops of vanilla extract will suffice.

250 ml Milk, whole milk

2 pod Vanilla, extract, natural

50 g Sugar, white

2 piece Egg, egg yolk, fresh

20 g Koruzni škrob

100 g Sweet cream

Pour the milk into a saucepan. Split the vanilla bean lengthwise with a sharp knife and scrape out the seeds with the tip of the knife. Add both the seeds and the pod to the milk. Place the saucepan on the stove and bring the milk to a boil. Remove the saucepan from the heat and take out the vanilla bean.

In a bowl, whisk together the sugar, egg yolk, cornstarch, and a quarter of the vanilla milk. Slowly pour this mixture into the remaining vanilla milk in the saucepan while continuously stirring. Place the saucepan back on the stove and slowly heat the mixture while stirring constantly.

When the pudding mixture begins to thicken, remove the saucepan from the heat. Let the pudding cool completely. Stir it well several times while it cools.

Whip the cream with an electric mixer until stiff. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cooled pudding.

Pour the prepared pudding into glass cups and serve.
