Honey Poppy Seed Cake
Harmony of poppy seeds and honey embraced by the aroma of lemon. The cake is an excellent idea to spice up the Easter menu.

200 g Honey

250 g Koruzna moka, whole grain, white

1 bag Baking powder

1 piece Juice, lemon

4 spoon Water

1 spoon Sugar, white

50 g Butter, unsalted

50 g Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose
Steps

Sift the flour into a bowl, add baking powder, almonds, walnuts, and poppy seeds, and mix well. Grate the zest of one lemon and one orange, and squeeze the lemon. Cream the butter with a mixer until fluffy, then add honey and vanilla sugar. While mixing, gradually add the eggs, lemon juice, water, and lemon zest, and finally, spoon by spoon, mix in the flour and nut mixture. All ingredients should be well combined.

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease the cake pan with butter, dust it with white flour, and fill it with the prepared batter. Place the pan with the cake in the preheated oven for about one hour. When the cake is baked, remove it from the oven, turn it out onto a suitable rack, and let it cool.

Cut the cake into slices, sprinkle with grated orange zest, and serve on plates.
