Hummus with Avocado
Hummus is a popular Arabic spread made from chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, and lemon juice. Garlic and parsley are usually added for flavor, but other additions are also welcome. We decided to use avocado, as it pairs perfectly with chickpeas and also gives the hummus a beautiful green color.

Advice
You can mix chopped parsley or cilantro into the hummus. Tahini is a spread or butter made from sesame seeds. You can buy it in well-stocked stores on the health food shelves or make it yourself from sesame seeds and sesame oil. For one unit of oil, take four units of sesame seeds. Toast the sesame seeds in a non-stick pan for a few minutes – they are ready when the seeds start to pop. Let the toasted seeds cool slightly and grind them in a food processor. Continue mixing and gradually add the oil. Store the prepared tahini in a jar with a lid in the refrigerator.
