Ice Cream Sandwiches
Both young and old will be delighted by ice cream sandwiches. Dont buy them in the store, rather make them at home!

Ingredients

115 g Butter, unsalted

115 g Sugar, white

1 piece Egg, fresh

200 g Flour, Wheat, bread flour

50 g Cocoa, powdered, sweetened

1 l Ice cream, vanilla
Steps

Cut the butter into pieces. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until fluffy. While continuously mixing, add the egg and mix until a light mixture forms. Gradually mix in the flour and cocoa powder. Shape the prepared dough into a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for one hour.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Roll out the chilled dough on a floured surface to a thickness of 6 mm. Cut a rectangle measuring 7 x 2 cm from cardboard. Use this template to cut the dough into rectangles. Arrange the rectangles on the baking sheets and prick them several times with a fork or toothpick. Then bake them in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.

Once the cookies are baked, remove them from the oven and let them cool completely. Meanwhile, take the ice cream out of the freezer and let it soften slightly. Spread ice cream on half of the rectangles and cover with the remaining cookie rectangles. Gently press so that the ice cream spreads to the edges of the cookies. Then, individually wrap each ice cream sandwich in a small plastic bag and immediately freeze.

Serve the prepared ice cream sandwiches at the appropriate time.
