Juicy Chocolate-Orange Cake

230 g chocolate, dark

85 g Butter, unsalted

2 spoons Orange, shell

Preheat the oven to 135 degrees Celsius. Grease a 20-centimeter cake pan with butter.

In a bowl, place the butter, break the chocolate into pieces, and melt both over a water bath. Remove from heat, gently stir, and cool until lukewarm.

While the chocolate is cooling, grate the orange zest and mix it into the chocolate.

Separate the egg yolks and whites into two bowls. Mix the yolks into the chocolate.

Beat the egg whites into stiff peaks, gradually adding sugar while beating. First, gently fold a quarter of the beaten egg whites into the chocolate mixture, then fold in the rest.

Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and bake in the preheated oven for 50 minutes. Decorate the cake with pieces of candied orange zest before serving, if desired.
