pieces Lemon zest, fresh
-
0.5 cups Pine nuts
-
0.5 cups Cheese, feta
-

-
0.5 teaspoons Spices, cinnamon, ground
-
1 teaspoon Spices, cardamom
-
pieces Oil, olive
-
pieces Parsley, fresh
Tahinijeva omaka
-
160 ml Sesame butter, tahini
-
pieces Juice, lemon
-
pieces Salt, table
Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Peel the onion and garlic, then finely chop them. Peel the ginger and grate it finely. Roughly chop the pine nuts. Rinse the herbs under running water, shake them dry, and chop them.
-
Place the ground meat in a bowl. Add the onion, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, chopped herbs, spices, lemon zest, pine nuts, and feta cheese. Mix the ingredients well with clean hands to ensure the spices and herbs are evenly distributed. Shape the mixture into walnut-sized meatballs.
-
Heat olive oil in a pan and quickly fry the prepared meatballs in batches. Transfer the fried meatballs to a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for about 12 minutes.
-
While the meatballs are baking, prepare the sauce. In a bowl, first mix the tahini and lemon juice. Add enough cold water to achieve a medium-thick sauce, then season with pepper and salt to taste.
-
Pour the tahini sauce into a larger serving bowl. Arrange the baked meatballs over the sauce. Sprinkle with a little chopped parsley and serve the dish with cooked rice, chapati, or pita bread.
