Ingredients
-
200 g Butter, unsalted
-
100 g Sugar, white
-
1 piece Egg, fresh
-
1 piece Egg, egg yolk, fresh
-
1 teaspoon Vanilla, extract, imitation
-
pieces Lemon zest, fresh
-
4 spoon Milk, whole milk
-
80 g Nuts, almonds
-
pieces Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose
-
1 pinch Salt, table
-
220 g Marmalade, orange
-
pieces Powdered sugar
Steps
-
First, prepare the dough. Sift the flour into a bowl and mix it with salt. In another bowl, use an electric mixer to cream the softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Add the egg, egg yolk, vanilla extract, milk, and lemon zest. Finally, add the ground almonds and flour. Quickly knead to form a smooth dough, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 to 60 minutes.
-
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about 3 mm thickness. Use a cookie cutter to cut out circles (or flowers). For half of the circles, use a smaller cutter to cut out a smaller circle in the center (you can use different shapes like hearts, stars, flowers, etc.).
-
Place the cookies on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes. When they turn light brown on top, remove them from the oven. Carefully transfer them to a wire rack to cool.
-
Spread jam on the cookies without holes, and dust the cookies with holes with powdered sugar. Place the cookies with holes on top of the jam-covered cookies. Arrange the prepared pastries on a plate or tray and serve.

The ingredients yield approximately 40 cookies. Instead of ground almonds, you can use ground hazelnuts or walnuts.
