Ingredients

100 g Butter, unsalted

150 g Sugar, white

1 teaspoon Vanilla, extract, natural

0.5 teaspoons Orange, shell

3 pieces Egg, fresh

150 g Flour, Wheat, bread flour

0.5 teaspoons Baking powder

20 g Powdered sugar

25 g Butter, unsalted
Steps

Beat the butter and sugar with a mixer on high speed until fluffy. Mix until the mixture becomes light and airy. Add the vanilla extract and grated orange zest. Reduce the speed of the mixer and add the eggs one by one while mixing.

Continue mixing for another 3 to 4 minutes. The egg mixture should be light and very fluffy. In a separate bowl, sift the flour and baking powder, then slowly and carefully pour it into the egg mixture. Gently fold in all the flour with a whisk. Cover the batter and refrigerate for 2 hours.

Preheat the oven to 190°C. Thoroughly grease two madeleine pans. Spoon the batter into the molds. Bake the madeleines in the preheated oven for 10 to 13 minutes until golden brown.

Place the baked madeleines on a serving plate, dust them with powdered sugar, and serve.

Advice
This recipe makes 12 madeleines. If you dont have a madeleine pan, you can bake them in a muffin pan. Its important to thoroughly grease the molds, otherwise, youll have trouble removing the baked madeleines. Take the butter out of the refrigerator one hour before use.
