Steps
-
Drain the olives well and chop them finely. Prepare a large bowl in which we crack one egg. Add the ground beef, soaked bread, milk, chopped olives, and chili. Season to taste with pepper and salt. Knead all the ingredients into a smooth meat mixture.
-
Shape the mixture into balls with wet hands. Place a pan on the stove and heat it, then add oil. Fry the meatballs in the pan for about 10 minutes, turning them several times so they are well-browned on all sides. Keep the cooked meatballs warm.
-
Meanwhile, prepare the sauce. Peel the garlic and slice the stuffed olives into medium-thick rings. Peel and finely chop the onion. Place a large deep pan on the stove and heat it, then add oil. Sauté the onion in the hot oil, stirring until it becomes translucent and softens slightly.
-
Then add the tomato paste and olives, and press the garlic into the sauce using a garlic press. Season the sauce to taste with salt, pepper, cumin, and chili powder. Mix the sauce well. Add the broth, add the meatballs, and continue cooking until the sauce slightly boils and thickens.
-
Serve the prepared dish on plates and offer it to guests along with a chosen side dish.
