Steps

Wash the potatoes, peel them, and cut them into pieces. Place them in a pot and cover with cold water. Lightly salt the water and bring the pot to a boil. Once the potatoes start boiling, cook them over moderate heat for another 10 to 15 minutes or until they soften.
