Meat Mummies
A savory recipe for all Halloween lovers. You can prepare the meatballs quickly, you just need a bit of skill in mummifying. The decorative eyes are sweet, so you can crunch them as a dessert. Alternatively, you can make eyes from cheese and, for example, pieces of black olive.

40 g Breadcrumbs, dried

50 g Cheese, Parmesan, hard

0.5 teaspoons Spices, basil, dried

0.5 teaspoons Spices, thyme, dried

0.5 teaspoons Spices, oregano, dried

1 pod Garlic, fresh

Steps

Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.

Finely chop the garlic and mix it with ground beef, eggs, breadcrumbs, cheese, basil, thyme, oregano, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Do not overmix.

Shape the mixture into balls, each weighing about 40 grams.

Place the baking tray in the oven for 5 minutes, then let the balls cool slightly.

Meanwhile, cut the puff pastry into strips about half a centimeter wide and wrap them around the balls.

Return the baking tray to the oven for another 15 minutes, with the top ventilation on, until the pastry turns golden brown.

Before serving, decorate the balls with decorative eyes. Serve with any sauce of your choice.
