Meat Pie with Potatoes
The meat pie is very juicy and so delicious that you will fall in love with it at the first bite. The preparation wont take much time either, as we use store-bought phyllo dough and fill it with a mixture of ground beef, onions, and potatoes. A tasty sauce made from yogurt, oil, eggs, and mineral water ensures juiciness.

Ingredients
Dressing
-
2 piece Egg, fresh
-
0.5 dl Oil, plant, sunflower
-
180 g Yogurt, plain, from whole milk
-
2 dl Water
-
1 teaspoon Salt, table
-
500 g Dough, wonton
-
1 piece Onion, raw
-
500 g Meat, beef, ground
-
2 piece Potatoes, white
-
pieces Salt, table
-
1 spoon Oil, plant, sunflower
Steps
-
Peel the onion and chop it finely. Quickly sauté it in a pan with a tablespoon of oil.
-
When the onion becomes translucent and softens slightly, add the ground meat to the pan. Season it with salt and pepper, and while stirring occasionally, cook for a few minutes until it browns. Finally, add the chopped garlic and sauté everything together for just another minute to let the garlic release its aroma.
-
While the meat is cooking, peel, wash, and grate the potatoes. Mix them with the sautéed meat. Adjust the seasoning if needed and let the mixture cool slightly.
-
Grease a baking dish (35 x 25 cm) well with oil. Take one sheet of phyllo dough, fold it in half, and place it in the baking dish. Brush the dough with oil, then place another sheet of dough on top, also folded in half. Spread a few tablespoons of the meat filling over the dough.
-
Cut the remaining sheets in half or trim them to fit the size of the baking dish. Place a new sheet of dough over the meat filling and add more filling on top. Repeat the process until you run out of filling. At the end, you should have two sheets of dough left, which you place in the baking dish and brush with oil. Fold any excess dough inward so it doesn't hang over the edges.
-
Use a sharp knife to cut the unbaked pie into pieces of your desired size.
-
In a bowl, mix the eggs, yogurt, oil, mineral water, and salt. Pour the prepared mixture over the pie and run the knife over the cuts again so the sauce seeps into the interior of the pie. Let it sit for 30 minutes to allow the sauce to soak in well.
-
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Bake the pie for 40-50 minutes or until the top turns golden brown.
-
Once the pie is ready, remove it from the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes. Then, serve it on plates alongside your chosen salad.
