Meatballs with Pineapple Glaze
To give meatballs a slightly different flavor, prepare them with a fruit glaze. Along with various sauces, they can be served as a snack at parties.

Steps

Cut the bacon and ham into larger pieces, add them to a food processor, and coarsely grind. Transfer the ham and bacon to a larger bowl and add the remaining ingredients for the meatballs. Knead everything well. Then, with wet hands, shape the mixture into balls approximately 5 cm in size.

In a saucepan, combine pineapple juice, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, ketchup, and ground mustard seeds. Place over moderate heat. Mix well and bring to a boil. Dissolve the starch in two tablespoons of cold water and stir it into the saucepan. Simmer the glaze gently for another 2 minutes. Remove the saucepan from the heat.

Preheat the oven to 175°C. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and place the meatballs on it. Slide the tray into the oven and bake the meatballs for 60 minutes. Brush them with the pineapple glaze for the first time after 20 minutes of baking. Then, glaze them every 10 minutes.

Serve the baked meatballs on plates and serve immediately.
