725 g Meat, beef, ground

1 piece Onion, raw

170 g Breadcrumbs, dried

185 ml Milk, whole milk

0.25 teaspoons Spices, pepper, black

1 teaspoon Spices, ginger, ground

110 g Sugar, brown

110 g Ketchup

Steps

Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius. Grease the baking dish in which we will bake the meatloaf thoroughly. Peel and finely chop the onion. Prepare a large bowl, crack two eggs into it. Add the ground beef, milk, breadcrumbs, 4 tablespoons of ketchup, and the chopped onion. Season the mixture with salt, pepper, and ground ginger.

Thoroughly mix (knead) the ingredients so that all the flavors blend well together. Fill the prepared baking dish with the mixture. Loosely cover the meatloaf with aluminum foil and bake in the oven for about 50 minutes.

In a small bowl, mix the remaining ketchup and sugar well. Then remove the foil, pour the mixture of sugar and ketchap over the meatloaf, and bake for an additional 10 minutes.

Let the baked meatloaf cool slightly, then turn it out of the baking dish onto a serving platter, slice it, and serve with a suitable side dish.
