110 g Powdered sugar

Place the egg whites in a large clean bowl and add 3 teaspoons of sugar. Start mixing with a hand mixer at a low speed, then increase the speed. Gradually add the sugar while mixing until it is all used. Whip until you get a stiff and firm meringue.

Preheat the oven to 100 °C. Place parchment paper on a baking tray. Fill a piping bag with the meringue and pipe small mounds onto the parchment paper. Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 45 minutes. Then turn off the oven and let the meringues sit in the oven for another hour. Remove the tray from the oven and let the cookies cool completely.

Serve the meringue as a standalone dessert or use them for decoration.

Advice
You can add various flavors (e.g., vanilla) and additions (e.g., ground hazelnuts, almonds…) to the meringue. Meringue can be stored in the refrigerator in a sealed container for up to one week. Before adding sugar to the egg whites, you can mix in a teaspoon of cream of tartar or cornstarch. This will make the mixture smoother and firmer.
