Ingredients
Millet porridge
-
1 l Milk, whole milk
-
200 g Millet, raw
-
30 g Butter, unsalted
-
1.5 spoons Sugar, white
-
4 pieces Apples, rose
-
1 spoon Butter, unsalted
-
2 spoons Sugar, white
-
1.5 spoons Juice, lemon
-
1 teaspoon Spices, cinnamon, ground
Steps
-
Sort the millet, place it in a sieve, rinse under hot water, and drain well. Bring the milk to a boil in a pot. Add a little butter, sugar, and the drained millet to the boiling milk. Once the porridge comes to a boil, reduce the heat slightly and let it simmer for about 20 minutes until it softens. Stir the porridge occasionally during cooking and add more milk if needed.
-
While the porridge is cooking, bake the apples in the oven. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Wash the apples and remove the stems and cores. Cut them into slices. Grease a small baking dish well with butter. Place the apple slices in the dish, drizzle with lemon juice, and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes until the apples are tender and caramelized. Add a little warm water to the dish during baking if needed.
-
Serve the cooked porridge on plates, top with the baked apple slices, and enjoy.
