2 spoons Tomato, concentrate
-
1 teaspoon Sugar, brown
-
50 ml Soup base, chicken, cube
-
0.25 teaspoons Spices, oregano, dried
-
0.25 teaspoons Salt, table
Steps
-
Peel the onion and garlic and chop them very finely. Wash the basil, parsley, and rosemary and dry them with paper towels. Remove the leaves from the stems and chop them finely.
-
In a large bowl, add all three types of ground meat, breadcrumbs, chopped onion and garlic, chopped herbs, grated Parmesan, milk, pepper, and salt. Mix all the ingredients well with your hands. Shape the mixture into walnut-sized balls.
-
Prepare the sauce. Peel the onion and garlic and chop them finely. Heat oil in a large pot and sauté the onion for about 10 minutes until softened. Stir the onion frequently while sautéing to prevent burning. Add the garlic and sauté just until fragrant. Then add the diced tomatoes, tomato puree, sugar, oregano, and vegetable stock. Mix everything well and bring to a boil. Then reduce the heat and simmer the sauce on low heat for about 25 minutes.
-
While the sauce is cooking, fry the meatballs. Place a deep pan on the stove and heat oil in it. Fry 8 to 10 meatballs at a time in the hot oil, 2 to 3 minutes on each side. Remove the fried meatballs with a slotted spoon and transfer them to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess fat. Repeat the process until all the meatballs are fried.
-
Serve the fried meatballs with the tomato sauce and your chosen side dish.
