250 g Flour, Wheat, bread flour

80 g Figs, fresh

Steps

Finely chop the figs, then preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius. Place a paper liner in each muffin tin.

In a large bowl, sift the flour, baking soda, and salt, then add the sugar. Mix all the ingredients well. In a smaller bowl, combine the figs, almonds, egg, and oil. Add water and almond extract. Gently mix the liquid mixture into the dry ingredients using a hand whisk. Fill the muffin tins with the prepared batter, filling each one two-thirds full.

Sprinkle almond flakes on top of the batter, then place the muffin tin in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, allowing the muffins to rise and turn golden brown.

Advice
If you are not using paper liners for the muffins, make sure to grease the muffin tin well. Muffins can also be baked in a regular baking tray by placing paper liners on it. In this case, use double paper liners to help the muffins retain their shape.
