Ingredients
-
200 g Oat bran, raw
-
3 pieces Apple, fresh
-
0.5 spoons Oil, plant, coconut
-
1 teaspoon Spices, cinnamon, ground
-
550 ml Coconut milk
-
pieces Honey
Steps
-
Pour the rolled oats into a bowl and cover them with 300 ml of cold water. Let them soak while you prepare the other ingredients.
-
Wash and dry the apples. Set one apple aside, peel and core the other two, then cut them into chunks and place them in a pot. Add coconut oil and three tablespoons of cold water, cover the pot, and place it on the stove. Simmer the apples over moderate heat for 10 minutes until they soften.
-
Once the apples are soft, add the soaked oats along with the soaking liquid, cinnamon, and milk to the pot. Reduce the heat to low and cook the oats, stirring occasionally, for 15 minutes or until they are fully softened and the mixture becomes thick. Remove the pot from the heat and let the oatmeal rest for one minute before serving.
-
Clean and slice the reserved apple. Serve the oatmeal in bowls (deep plates). Add the apple slices, a sprinkle of ground cinnamon, and drizzle with honey or agave syrup if desired. Serve the prepared dish.
