Ingredients
-
400 g Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose
-
1 teaspoon Salt, table
-
1 teaspoon Sugar, white
-
1 bag Yeast, dry
-
1 spoon Rosemary, fresh
-
200 ml Water
-
3 spoons Oil, olive
-
80 g Olives, black, in brine
-
80 g Olives, green, in brine
-
0.5 handful Semolina
Steps
-
In a large bowl, mix the flour, yeast, sugar, salt, and rosemary. Make a well in the center and pour in enough lukewarm water and oil to form a soft dough. Mix in the olives.
-
Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead until it becomes elastic and no longer sticks to your hands. Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a greased bowl. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the dough rise in a warm place for 1.5 hours, or until it doubles in size.
-
Sprinkle a baking pan with wheat bran. Turn the risen dough onto a floured surface and quickly knead it again. Then shape it into a loaf. Place the loaf on the baking pan and cover it with plastic wrap. Let it rise in a warm place for about 45 minutes.
-
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Make a cross-shaped cut on the risen loaf with a knife and place the pan with the loaf in the preheated oven. Bake the bread for about 40 minutes. The bread is done when it turns golden brown on top. Remove the baked bread from the oven. Let it cool completely before serving.
