500 g Meat, beef, ground
-
1 piece Onion, raw
-
1 piece Egg, fresh
-
1 slice Bread, wheat
-
60 ml Milk, whole milk
-
1.5 teaspoons Spices, paprika
-
1 teaspoon Spices, parsley, dried
-
1 teaspoon Spices, oregano, dried
-
pieces Salt, table
-
2 spoons Oil, olive
-
1 piece Onion, raw
-
2 piece Carrot, fresh
-
2 pod Garlic, fresh
-
1 piece Spices, bay (leaves)
-
400 g Tomato sauce, without salt
-
4 pieces Potatoes, white
-
500 ml Soup base, beef, cube
-
pieces Salt, table
-
pieces Parsley, fresh
Steps
-
Peel the garlic and onion, then chop them separately. Clean or peel the carrots and potatoes, wash them, and cut them into desired pieces. The potato pieces should be slightly larger so they don't fall apart too quickly during cooking.
-
If you don't have a broth base, prepare it by dissolving 2 bouillon cubes in about 500 ml of hot water. Cut the bread into cubes, place them in a bowl, and pour milk over them. Let it soak while you prepare the other ingredients.
-
Place a pot on the stove and heat the oil. Add the onion and carrots, and sauté them over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the onion becomes translucent (about 10 minutes). Add the garlic and continue sautéing for another 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, until the garlic becomes fragrant.
-
Add the tomato, bay leaf, and potatoes. Stir, then pour in the broth base. Season with salt and pepper, cover the pot, and let the one-pot dish simmer for about 15 minutes.
-
Prepare the meatballs. Peel the onion and finely chop or grate it. Mix it with the ground meat, egg, soaked bread, paprika, and seasonings. It's best to knead the ingredients with clean hands. Shape the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs.
-
Add the prepared meatballs to the pot with the vegetables. Add more water if needed. Cover and cook for 10 minutes, then flip the meatballs and cook for another 10 minutes. The one-pot dish is ready when the potatoes are tender and the meatballs are cooked through.
-
Serve the prepared one-pot dish in deep bowls or soup bowls. Optionally, sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve with bread.
