Ingredients
-
2 spoons Oil, plant, sunflower
-
1 piece Onion, raw
-
250 g Meat, beef, ground
-
2 spoons Tomato, concentrate
-
2 pod Garlic, fresh
-
0.5 piece Bell pepper, yellow, fresh
-
2 piece Carrot, fresh
-
1 l Water
-
pieces Spices, bay (leaves)
-
pieces Salt, table
-
150 g Rice, white, long grain
-
1 handful Tomato, red
-
50 g Cheese, Cheddar
Steps
-
Place the rice in a colander and rinse it thoroughly under running water. Peel the garlic and onion, and chop them separately into fine pieces. Wash and clean the vegetables. Dice the bell pepper and carrot, and halve the tomatoes.
-
Heat oil in a large pot and sauté the onion until translucent. Add the ground meat and cook until it breaks into pieces and turns slightly brown. Stir in the chopped garlic, tomato paste, bell pepper, and carrot. Cook the ingredients while stirring continuously for another minute, then pour in water or clear broth. Add the spices and salt, and let the soup come to a boil.
-
Cook the rice and finish cooking the dish. In about 15 minutes, the rice should also be tender. Add the tomatoes during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
-
Taste the prepared one-pot dish and, if necessary, add more salt or pepper. Serve it in deep bowls or soup cups, garnish with grated cheese, and enjoy.
