Orange Cheesecake
An excellent dessert that is prepared without turning on the oven. Its true that the dessert needs to be well chilled in the refrigerator, but the preparation itself is very quick and extremely simple.

Ingredients
Cookie bottom
-
pieces Breadcrumbs, dried
-
100 g Butter, unsalted
-
400 g Cheese, creamy
-
pieces Orange, shell
-
200 g Cheese, creamy
-
3 spoons Alcohol, Liqueur, Crème de Menthe
-
100 g Sugar, white
-
180 ml Sweet cream
-
pieces Orange, fresh
Steps
-
In a small pot, slowly melt the butter over low heat. As soon as the butter melts, remove the pot from the heat and let the butter cool slightly. In a food processor, finely grind the cookies.
-
Mix the ground cookies with the cooled melted butter. Pour the mixture into a round springform pan (23 cm in diameter) and press it firmly against the bottom with your palm or the back of a spoon to create a nice cookie base. Store the pan in the refrigerator.
-
In a large bowl, use a whisk to smoothly mix the cream cheese, mascarpone, Grand Marnier, sugar, and orange zest. Whip the sweet cream with an electric mixer until stiff. Gently and slowly fold it into the orange mixture.
-
Pour the cream onto the chilled cookie base. Spread it evenly in the pan and smooth the top nicely. Store the pan in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours to allow the cream to cool and set well.
-
Carefully remove the prepared cake from the pan and serve it on a nice plate or platter. Use orange segments or slices for decoration.

Advice
Instead of fresh orange slices, you can use candied slices for decoration. If neither is available, you can spread orange marmalade on top of the cake.
