Ingredients
-
6 pieces Orange, fresh
-
300 ml Juice, grapefruit
-
1 spoon Gelatin powder, unsweetened
-
2 spoons Sugar, white
Steps
-
Cut the oranges in half and squeeze them well to extract as much juice as possible. Discard the peels and save the juice, then add grape juice to it. Strain the mixture through a fine sieve. Pour half of the juice into a cup, sprinkle with gelatin, and mix well. Wait about 6 minutes for the gelatin to swell.
-
Place the cup with the juice and gelatin on the stove and heat slowly until the gelatin dissolves. Be careful not to let the liquid boil! Then add sugar and the other half of the juice, cook for an additional 3 minutes, and remove the cup from the stove.
-
Prepare serving bowls by rinsing them with cold water, then pour the prepared jelly into them. Place the bowls in the refrigerator for at least two hours to let the jelly set.
-
Prepare plates and carefully turn the set jelly onto them. Gently separate it from the bowls. Decorate the jelly with fresh mint or lemon balm leaves if desired.

Advice
For a better flavor, you can add a splash of rum to the jelly. To achieve the right ratio of orange and grape juice, pour them into a measuring cup. The total should be exactly 600 ml. Add more grape juice if needed. Powdered gelatin can be replaced with agar agar, which is plant-based.
