-
200 ml Sweet cream
chocolate glaze
-
100 g chocolate, dark

2 spoons Oil, vegetable oil, canola

Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Whisk the egg yolks and sugar until frothy. While continuously mixing, slowly drizzle in the oil. Beat the egg whites into stiff peaks, then gently and slowly fold them into the egg yolks in two or three parts. Sift the flour and baking powder mixture over the mixture and very lightly mix everything together to form a smooth and uniform batter without lumps.
-
Lightly grease a deep rectangular baking pan (23 x 38 cm) with butter and line it with baking paper. Pour the prepared batter into the pan and spread it evenly with a spatula or the back of a spoon. Bake the batter in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes.
-
While the batter is baking, prepare the white cream. In a small bowl, mix the starch, sugar, and a few tablespoons of milk into a smooth mixture. Pour the remaining milk into a saucepan and bring it to a boil. Once it boils, slightly reduce the heat and mix the starch and sugar mixture into the hot milk. Cook while stirring until the cream thickens, then remove the saucepan from the heat. Let the cream cool.
-
Whip the sweet cream until stiff. Fold it into the cooled white cream. Store the cream in the refrigerator until ready to use.
-
In a small bowl, mix the pudding, sugar, and a few tablespoons of orange juice into a smooth mixture. Pour the remaining juice into a saucepan and bring it to a boil. Once it boils, remove the saucepan from the heat and mix the pudding into the hot juice. Return the saucepan to the stove and cook while continuously stirring until the pudding thickens nicely. Pour the hot pudding over the baked sponge cake. Let the pudding cool and set.
-
Spread the white cream in an even layer over the cooled pudding. Arrange the butter cookies soaked in milk over the cream.
-
Melt the chocolate together with the oil and milk in a double boiler. Once the mixture has cooled slightly, pour it over the butter cookies. Store the dessert in the refrigerator for a few hours before serving. Once well chilled, remove it from the refrigerator and cut it into equal-sized pieces.
