Its true that cannelloni are usually fried in hot oil, but they are also very delicious when baked in the oven. As for side dishes, you can serve a classic French salad alongside, or you can refresh the meal with a bowl of mixed salad.

Ingredients
-
8 pieces Dough, wonton
-
200 g Meat, pork, smoked ham
-
125 g Cheese, mozzarella
-
100 g Cheese, Gouda
-
100 g Cheese, creamy
-
pieces Spices, pepper, black
-
1 pinch Spices, oregano, dried
-
1 pinch Basil, fresh
-
3 pieces Egg, egg white, fresh
-
2 pinch Salt, table
-
150 g Breadcrumbs, dried
-
80 g Butter, unsalted
Steps
-
Grate the ham and both types of cheese coarsely into a bowl. If you have slices of ham, chop them or cut them into strips or smaller pieces. Add the cheese spread and seasonings. Mix the ingredients well to form a thick mixture that will be used to fill the pancakes.
-
Take a pancake and place 1-2 tablespoons of the prepared filling on it. Roll it up, making sure all edges are folded inward. Repeat the process until all pancakes are filled and rolled.
-
Crack the eggs into a deep plate and beat them well with a hand whisk or fork. Lightly salt the eggs. Place the breadcrumbs on a shallow plate.
-
Dip the cannelloni first in the eggs, then coat them in the breadcrumbs. Arrange them in a greased baking dish. Distribute the butter, cut into pieces, on top.
-
Bake the cannelloni in a preheated oven (using the upper and lower heating function) for about half an hour. They are done when they turn golden brown.
-
Serve the baked cannelloni warm or cold. Offer tartar sauce, a French salad, or a bowl of mixed salad on the side.
