Oven-Baked Pancake with Apples
A delightful dessert that can be enjoyed for breakfast or dinner. The batter poured over the apples puffs up and often rises above the edges of the pan during baking, and its texture is very similar to a classic pancake. For the ultimate indulgence, sprinkle some powdered sugar on top and enjoy the pancake with a cup of warm beverage.

Ingredients
-
4 pieces Egg, fresh
-
250 ml Milk, whole milk
-
2 spoons Sugar, white
-
1 bag Sugar, white
-
2 pinch Salt, table
-
0.25 teaspoons Spices, cinnamon, ground
-
120 g Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose
-
60 g Butter, unsalted
-
2 piece Apple, fresh
-
3 spoons Sugar, brown
Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius.
-
In a bowl, mix together milk, eggs, regular and vanilla sugar, salt, and cinnamon. Add flour and mix until you get a smooth batter without lumps.
-
Add butter to a larger ovenproof pan (30 cm in diameter) and place it in the preheated oven for about 2 minutes to melt the butter.
-
Meanwhile, wash the apples (peel them if desired) and cut them into quarters, removing the cores. Slice the quarters into wedges and add them to the hot pan with butter. Arrange the apples evenly across the bottom of the pan, being careful not to burn yourself. Return the pan to the preheated oven and let the apples bake for about 10 minutes, or until they soften slightly, and the butter foams and begins to brown at the edges of the pan.
-
Remove the pan from the oven and pour the prepared batter over the apples, then sprinkle some brown sugar on top. Return to the oven for another 20 minutes. The pancake is done when it puffs up and turns golden brown.
-
Serve the baked pancake while it is still warm. Serve it directly in the pan it was prepared in.
