Ingredients
-
400 g Meat, beef, ribs
-
4 pinch Salt, table
-
3 pinch Spices, pepper, black
-
2 spoons Oil, vegetable oil, canola
Steps
-
Rinse the ribeye steaks under running water and thoroughly dry them with paper towels. Let them sit at room temperature for at least one hour to warm up.
-
Preheat the oven to 250 degrees Celsius. Place an oven-safe pan inside and let it heat up well. Just before cooking, season both sides of the ribeye steaks with salt and pepper.
-
Carefully remove the hot pan from the oven and pour in the oil. Place it on the stove at the highest temperature and put both ribeye steaks in the pan. Cook for one minute on one side, then flip and cook for another minute on the other side.
-
Flip the ribeye steaks again and push the pan into the preheated oven for 2 minutes. Then flip the steaks one last time and bake in the oven for another 2 minutes. Transfer the cooked ribeye steaks to a cutting board and let them rest for 5 minutes.
-
The ribeye can be sliced into desired thickness or served whole on a plate. Serve with your choice of side dish.
