Steps

Wash the tomatoes, clean them (remove the green parts), cut them into chunks, and place them in a bowl. Peel the onion, wash it, and slice it into thin rings, then add it to the bowl with the tomatoes. Wash the lemon, cut it in half, and squeeze the juice from one half over the tomatoes and onion. Cut the bread into cubes and add it to the bowl. Drizzle the salad with olive oil, season with salt and pepper, and mix well.

Let the salad sit for about 15 minutes to allow the flavors to blend. Wash the basil and pluck the leaves, then mix them into the salad before serving.
