Pasta Roses
A different take on pasta, you could say. The dish will be especially delicious if you use fresh, homemade lasagna sheets, but you can also use store-bought ones, which need to be boiled first.

Ingredients
-
150 g Pasta, Macaroni
-
200 g Meat, pork, smoked ham
-
250 g Cheese, creamy
-
60 g Butter, unsalted
-
60 g Flour, Wheat, bread flour
-
6 dl Milk, whole milk
-
1 teaspoon Mustard
-
pieces Salt, table
-
50 g Cheese, Parmesan, hard
Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. If using store-bought lasagna sheets, boil them in lightly simmering water for half the time indicated on the package (just enough to soften them).
-
In a saucepan, heat the butter, then add the flour and cook for one minute while stirring, until it turns golden brown. Remove from the heat and slowly pour in the milk while stirring. Return the saucepan to the heat and stir until the béchamel thickens. Then add the mustard, nutmeg, and half of the grated Parmesan. Season with salt and pepper to taste, mix well, and remove from the heat again.
-
Place a slice of prosciutto on each lasagna sheet, about a centimeter away from one edge. Spread a tablespoon of mascarpone over the entire surface, then roll it up into a roll. Repeat the process with the remaining sheets, and finally cut the rolls into equal-sized pieces, about 3 to 4 centimeters thick.
-
Spread some béchamel on the bottom of the baking dish, then place the roses upright in the dish and pour the remaining béchamel over them. Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan on top.
-
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, then remove the foil, set the oven to broil, and bake for another 15 minutes.

Do not cut the baked roses, but gently pull them out of the baking dish, you can even use two spoons.
