Peanut Butter Cookies

Steps

Cream the butter and sugar together using an electric mixer set to high speed. Add the egg to the butter mixture, then mix in the vanilla extract and peanut butter.

Sift the flour, baking soda, cornstarch, and salt into the mixture. Mix everything well with the mixer set to low speed. Once a uniform mixture is achieved, stop mixing, shape the dough into a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for one hour.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius, line a low baking sheet with parchment paper. Form walnut-sized balls from the chilled dough and place them a few centimeters apart on the prepared baking sheet. Gently flatten each dough ball with a fork, pressing a crisscross pattern into it. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 12 minutes until they turn a beautiful golden brown color.

Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Let the cookies cool on the sheet for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
