Ingredients
-
pieces Butter, unsalted
-
175 g Butter, unsalted
-
140 g Sugar, brown
-
2 piece Egg, fresh
-
130 g Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose
-
1.5 teaspoons Baking powder
-
0.25 teaspoons Salt, table
-
100 g Nuts, hazelnuts, blanched
-
5 pieces Pear, fresh
-
70 g chocolate, dark
Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 160 degrees Celsius. Lightly grease a round springform pan (20 cm in diameter) with butter, then line the bottom with baking paper. Chop or break the chocolate into small pieces. Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt into a bowl. Add the ground hazelnuts and mix everything well.
-
In another bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the softened butter and sugar. Mix on high speed for 4 to 5 minutes until you get a slightly creamy mixture. Gradually (one by one) add the eggs (mixing each for about half a minute). Then add half of the flour, baking powder, and hazelnut mixture and slowly mix it into the egg-butter mixture on low speed. Repeat the same process with the other half.
-
Wash, peel, core, and quarter three pears. Cut the quarters into small pieces and mix them together with the chocolate pieces into the prepared batter using a spatula or spoon. Pour the batter into the pan and spread it evenly, smoothing the top. Wash and slice the remaining two pears into thin slices. Remove the cores and arrange the slices on top of the cake. Bake the cake in the preheated oven for 60 to 70 minutes. The cake is done when a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
-
Let the baked cake cool completely before serving. Once cooled, place it on a nice plate or platter, dust with powdered sugar if desired, cut into pieces of any size, and serve.
